The Lorelia File

This book takes place 50 years of my book series. It is a self-contained story. To better understand the magic system, I recommend reading “The Crystal Spotter” first.

“It has never been so hard for me not to pull out all the stops to get her into bed.”
Rome in 1840: The fire mage Arminio is known as the best investigator in the Roman gendarmerie. When he is assigned to track down the missing daughter of an air mage and bring her home, he expects it to be a routine mission.
But the earth mage Lorelia is not the woman her father describes. Proud and cunning, she has gone into hiding deep in the Brazilian forests from the men who want to control her. The better Arminio gets to know her, the more he admires the woman who refuses to be rescued from the shadow of a syndicate. Despite her mistrust, a strong attraction flares up between them, and Arminio must decide: will Lorelia remain a mission, or will he allow desire to turn into love for the first time?
